As published in a full page ad in the Listin Diario on the 17th of September of 2013, the Migratory Agency issued a warning to all persons who employ foreign workers to make sure that all of them are legally documented and have all their papers in order.

The statement further informs that according to Law 285-04, article 6, section 14, the agency would inspect all local companies to assure all workers have legal documents. According to articles 131 and 132 of said law the agency also reserves the right to initiate legal proceedings against any employers not following these legal instructions.

This warning comes in the wake of the recent crackdowns on immigration laws in the Dominican Republic.
